Where are Social Networking sites heading?

This a team composed of five enthusiastic postgraduate researchers in social sciences interested in online social networking. Bringing together multidisciplinary expertise in classical and virtual ethnography, anthropology, IT and computer sciences, this large scale project aims at researching some of the core fundaments and principles that lie behind what is currently renown as the ‘social networking revolution.’ At the same time, focusing mainly on the huge social potentialities of the phenomenon, as well as on its associated contradictions and misunderstandings in different offline and online contexts, Epic Research Team aims to understand the actual social and cultural implications of the social networking at large, while tracing some of its predictable future extensions.
